Replacing Fuel cap lock barrel.

Hi All. Have bought a new fuel cap for my 2.2 JTD 2003 Ulysse but am having problems working out how to take the locking barrel from my old cap and re-fit it to the new one as it comes without a locking barrel. Anybody have any pointers on this please?

Got it sorted now, had to saw through the old cap to release the locking barrel!! Why make it so difficult to change a lock?
