FAP Fluid

Can anyone tell me type of FAP fluid I need for my MK II Ulysse 2.2 JTD and any advice on the cheapest UK source?

Anyhow you'll need Fiat service to reset the error message.

I think mines an early version and I think it has a FAP level sensor so hopefully just adding fluid will work.
I intend to add a few litres and see what happens.

did you not try & clean it? caustic soda? might be getting you mixed up with someone else

At 57,000 miles I've not had any issues. But I know the FAP level is low (I've dipsticked the tank)
I have a tame Indi who can reset the FAP level in the computer if need be.

My plan is to put in a few litres of fluid and see what happens.

the fifth year service includes an option to have the FAP fluid replaced and includes the exhaust gasket too... quoted service was £469.20... the FAP fluid replacement on its own will cost £365.65 !! Managed to get a discount on the MOT too..!

FAP fluid is around £26 a bottle (you normally need about 3) plus a hours labout to fit/set up.

Can't see the point in filling the FAP fluid. Ours is on 64000 miles and we had a couple of litres of FAP added. the full 5 litres would have seen it to over 120,000 miles and I'm not sure we'll be driving it then.
I'd advice adding a few litres and making anote when it will need more. Crazy to throw money on FAP fruid that will just sit their for years.
