I have just been informed by my wife that a Recall has been issued on our vehicle Eleganza 2.2 JTD 03. I have just checked the VOSA site and have found the following.

Concern : BRAKE SERVO ASSISTANCE MAY BE REDUCED
Description : It has been identified that due to the inlet filter for the exhaust gas recirculating valve (EGR) being in an exposed position, there is a possibility of water entering the brake servo vacuum pipe. This can give rise to the possibility of ice forming within the pipe during periods of low ambient temperature, with the possibility of reduced brake servo assistance
Remedial Action : Recalled vehicles will have the EGR valve solenoids checked for the presence of separate air filters. If this is not the case new solenoids with separate filters will be fitted.
Vehicle Id : ZFA17900013001046 to ZFA17900013201942.

Has anybody else had this? It arrived recorded delivery too.

Indeed - one lovely Fiat letter arrived this morning!

Gave the dealership a ring straight away and booked it in before everyone with a new Ulysse round here rang them and created a backlog. Parts have been ordered and waiting for the phone call to bring it down when they arrive.
They said I could wait whilst the work was being done. Only an hours job apparently?

Never had a problem with Fiats dealership in Exeter being Sidwell Motor Company in the Marsh Barton trading estate (y)

Yes got ours but not rushing to get it done. Not much chance of water freezing at the moment.
