Air Conditioner

hi everyone

i want to install an air conditioner on my 1993 1.6 i.e
my car is not equipped with a/c at all
any have an idea where i can get all the components of a/c

if u can i need a web site that shows prices

your unlikely to get tipo components new or in a scrappy.your looking at bespoke or customising from another engine/make i would have thought.

well in the UK A/C wasnt really fitted in that age of car.its relativly recently that A/C became a common feature on UK cars.
it will be easier to get the components there and overhaul/modify them i would think

You're looking at £900 for the air conditioning unit, £200 for the condensor and another £200 for the ECU not including any of the hoses or wiring harnesses that will be needed. I'd give up with the plans as that doesn't include the compressor or any changes to the pulleys in order to fit it all in.

I've included a list of the Tipo's that had air-con available so you know where to look. Getting one with air-con will be much, much easier than trying to source all the parts you need.

Didn't Tipo production start up in Turkey after 1996 in whicih case surely aircon would have been fitted and car would be l/h drive

Only UK spec Tipo to recieve A/C was the 1995 Tipo Liberty 1.6 available in a lavander/purple with a velor interior rather nice if you can find one
