Hello, sorry for making a new thread but I have a problem with my Tipo 1.9TD.. My car started to blow some smoke. The courious thing is, that it is happening only few seconds after starting the car and the engine temperature is 50+ degrees.. so not the cold start. On this link you can see a short example of what it looks like. Car is running good, everything is the same as it was before it starts to smoke, so i don't know what it is. Thank you for your help.

Is the engine still running well?
Does it smoke when hot?
Have you asked a mechanic what he thinks?

Hi there, I had this happen with a Ford monde. I took it to Northampton deasels who told me the turbo needed replacing and a eye watering price. Before parting with that sort of money I rang the dealer where I bought the car. His mechanic replaces one of the rings inside the top of the turbo. Took him less than 10 minutes to do the job and cost me a few quid. I can't be accurate with pricing, this happened 15 years ago. But look for a break in one of the gas gets or metal rings before shelling out for a new turbo. Hth
