Thank you for your help. Car is 1989/07 1.4ie DGT with cat. with only 46.000 km. All information is welcome!
I already spent many, really many! hours on Internet and found out that this problem occurs “regularly” with a “lot” of people (also other brands like VW) but in all of the posts I read, never heard the final solution….(a lot of people get advise from other people but it seems that nobody takes the effort to make a last post with the final solution!
Problem is,when I start the engine (cold) it runs the first 1-2 minutes about 2000/rpm and/or rpm goes up and down between 1000-and 1800 rpm. It also depends a Little bit on the outside temperature.
After 1-2minutes of running or driving the car, idling and driving is normal.
Also sometimes (engine on temperature) when slowly stopping for a traffic light, engine “hangs” in rpm 1200-1800 and after a few seconds normal again or I have to put in the clutch and let it quickly come up again with my other foot on the brake (in 1st gear) . After that “shock” procedure most of the times engine is idling normal.
Sometimesit’s ok for a few days (after battery pole reset) but the problem always comes back within 1-3days.
Checked all wiring twice, no false air, no leak (vacuum) hoses or bad mass connections etc. and I replaced Idle stepping motor, temperature water sensor (the blue one on the intake manifold) and replaced a complete 2nd hand throttle Body unit.
Now I’m going to change the TPS unit. Bought it on Ebay Germany for under Є40.- incl. shipping. Already had the existing one out and everything looked ok. No dirt etc. Will wait for another couple of days if somebody shows up here with the adjusting figurs and correct procedure...
Will be continued….

To make a long story short; Problem solved. Replaced the Throttle position sensor and adjusted it by hand. Reset computer. Try out and play around a little bit and it's ok now.
