Hi Gary,

Great pictures - shame about the car. As I said on the phone, stick the engine in out of the quick red car. You know that ones ok.

Have a great holiday ( I'm off myself now - to France) and hope you can still make Brooklands.

Re: Tick Tick Tick Tick . . . . "BOOM"

unlucky mate, i would cry if anything happened to mine like that on this long drive down to brooklands. i said 2 years ago that i was going to get timing belt changed on mine before i give it any stick as i didn't know when it was changed last, if ever! still not done it i bought a new timing belt off ebay other week for 99p but got it for the other engine im rebuilding. phoned fiat main dealers 3 times and asked them how much it would be for belt changing, and 3 times they told me they would phone me back after they asked the mechanic if he still had tools for it, still waiting

This reminds me of when my valves hit my pistons on the A64. The tow man said it'll never run again, but it did, and I'm sure yours will too. But its NOT a good feeling when this happens, my sympathies.
