Re: Locking Balancer shafts

Why do it? I always thought it was only really worth doing if you were completing some serious performance mods/looking to use very high revs. For the ordinary Sedici don't you run the risk of a less smoth engine?

The John Lee site has some info on this I seem to remember.

Re: Locking Balancer shafts

You trap a piece of metal anchored on the shaft seal bolt between the pulley and the seal cover, you only need to do that on the balancer with the cam belt idler bearing on it.

Re: Locking Balancer shafts

I must say, eventhough the prices look steep for some parts, they do sell some nice stuff there.
