grey sedici with no sunroof?

hi guys

i am lookin to buy 2.0 sedicivalvole next week, but i'm not sure that iti is all original. first of all, i have never seen a grey sedici. second, i have never seen a sedici with no sunroof. i've checked chassis number in eper, but it doesnt say in which color it was made. and there is a sunroof pictured in "mobile parts and glass" section. so, i'm confused. i dont want to buy non.original sedivci, but this car is in really great shape. it's '91. model and imported from sweeden in '98. it's in croatia now (that's where i'm from). here are some pics...
thanx

grey sedici with no sunroof?

Look the absolute b0llocks mate - I'm sure you'll have lots of fun - I have never really looked into Sedici specs. but was there never a version done with air conditioning? Just a thought. You could always buy it, and come over to Britain and I'll do you a straight swap for mine ;D

Re: grey sedici with no sunroof?

There were many many different specs produced as standard depending on which country the car was destined for. I have checked my collection of brochures - I don't have one for Sweden unfortunatly - but can confirm that a sunroof was an option as was airconditioning and leather and recaro seating etc.

In the Uk for instance Aircon and leather were never available but the sunroof option was fitted to all cars as were the headlamp wipers and you could specify recaros and ABS as add ons. The silver colour from your pictures was available as well.

I think the answer is to take a look at the car. If it looks unmolested, has the vented front discs, solid rears, the right engine (16v NOT 8v), full working instrumentation, correct checked pattern interior (or leather) and all the right bodykit - then buy it if the price seems right.

Good luck!

Re: grey sedici with no sunroof?

There are a few Sedici's with a non Sedicivalvole boot title.. They tend to crack across the button and a non-Sedici one is probably cheaper or easier to get from a breakers yard. Plus some like to de-badge so it's more of a shock to the other drivers when the banger disapears off into the distance

The other notable feature of the boot title is sometimes you get two little circles of damp half on the boot title, and half on the paintwork caused by the turbulance as the air comes over and around the car, meets around the middle and peels off the car.

Re: grey sedici with no sunroof?

Yes mate, it also just says 'Tipo' - or is that not something strange? Thought it would say Tipo 2.0.i.e - the Tipo badge looks faded so it could have been debadged a long time ago?

Re: grey sedici with no sunroof?

firts of all, thanx for all of your answers...

the boot sedici title is there, u just cant see it because its faded. when u come really close u can see that it used to be there, lol. but i plan to order a new one if i buy the car, i just cant find that part in eper, so i dont know the number of that part... i would also like to buy the orange line that goes around the car, but i also dont know the number of that part. the engine is 2,0 16v, cloth inside is also from sedici (checked pattern)... so i belive that the car is original sedicivalvole .
i'll let u know if i buy it.
oh, btw, the engine sounds great, and the car runs like its new, so i'm 99% sure i will buy it

Re: grey sedici with no sunroof?

if your just wanting the strip that goes around the car cause its faded you could do what i've done and cover it with vinyl. i've used red reflective on mine which looks really well.

Re: grey sedici with no sunroof?

i hadn't seen that sedici in zagreb.. it isn't possible to buy that sedicivalvole titled plastic any more, also that red stripes on bumpers. You could try to look for that parts in Bertol Fiat service in Velika mlaka. it is the last place where you could maybe find that parts. there is also one shop called "Pravi smijer". there you can buy red rubbered stripes, 5 mm wide, and they are perfect for bumpers and side skirts. Also they can make you "sedicivalvole" stick for that plastic....
