Hi everybody,
After having done my first project with success,(swapping a 1.2 8v punto in a 4x4 panda classic), i would like to swap a lancia Y 10 with a uno turbo engine (1300 or 1400)? I have some question for that :
Did somebody ever done it???:)
IS it possible if we conserve the old engine and gear box mounts? I sould better change both gear box and engine of uno turbo but the mounts are going to be the same as the Y10 chassis' one?
Is the block going to enter ? I know that there is a 1000 cc turbo Y10 and i kow that (or i think) that the 1300, 1400 and 1000 engine block are the same (size), so it should enter?! Is the uno turbo gearbox really different of the Y1O 1,1 fire one, of the 1000 turbo one (about power supported and bolting on). Can i put a ritmo fiat gearbox on the both turbo engines (about power supported and bolting and mount with those present on the chassis) ?
And just for learning, does somebody knows what swap are often done on this car? Maybe someone has read that a 1.8 alfa turbo or 2.O twin spark or a 2000 cc of a tipo enter in that car or maybe a alfa 75 turbo engine???
THanks to everybody

I've heard somewhere that it's possible to fit an alfa V6 engine.

But why fit the uno-turbo block? -Don't think you're going to get away that easy; you have to consider fitting modified enginemounts, computer etc and a huge lot of wiring. Don't think it's worth the while.

IMO, get a sedici and restore it. Cheaper, simpler and less time consuming

HI
I've no time problem, this project can take A year.....
I don't think that i would have a lot of problem : the engine mounts are probably the same as the 1049 cc because the TUrbo engine block is derived and the 1049 was mounted on lancia before...
For the wiring it's the same thing : if i have the turbo loom, i would just have to adapt with the existant one . Iva already done this with swapping a 1.2 fire 8v of punto in a panda 999 fire carbs.
Finally, the gear box of turbo is maybe the same as the 1049 one for mounts but i'm nt sure.... it would be the only adaptation i think.
But you are telling me lot of work but you don't tell me if the engine enters in the car without cutting the chassis....
THanks !!!

Oh i've forgotten, i've a V6 alfa 3.0l in my garage, you heard that it was a swap that just need making new mounts or it also need modifiing chassis?
