I have obtained a new wishbone, one of ball joints had excessive play.

Removed Wheel
Removed Calliper
Removed Calliper holder
Removed Hub
Disconnected Hub from Strut / Shock Absorber

Then finally removed the Wisbone / Lower Arm

Now that all of that is done I can't bolt the new wishbone back in, its like impossible.

Any tips on doing this?

Any help and I'll Kiss you online!

The Subframe/car end.

Im changing the NSF one at the moment. will do the other one later.

I have all three bolts in apart from the Right/Rear one it just wont seem to go in BUT because of the way I managed to get as far as I just have, I don't know if I will be able to plug the pin into the Hub Carrier, well I should be able to but then I don't know if I will be able to re-attach the hub carrier to the Strut / Shock.

There is too much tension in there :(

I have found that if you get the arm bolted to the sub frame first, then you need to insert a steel bar into one of the larger holes in the cast iron part of the arm to lever it downwards so you can locate the vertical pin in the bottom of the hub carrier.

I have done several of these and it seems to be the only way....

Ta for the advice :)

I manganed to get the bolts into the SubFrame and Hun using brute hand force alone.

My only prolem now is getting the ARB back into the wishbone, it seems as if the new wishbone sits a lot lower and the ARB long screw doesn't seem to reach. I will try a long bar tomorrow :)

The ARB screw doesn't reach?

Get the screw above the hole and once the shock tower and wheel and everything is all re-attached slowly lower the car down. The ARB will then reach through the hole. Turn the steering to get better access. Don't forget it's a rubber and washer on both sides of the lower arm.

I did lower the car it only went down a bit but not far enough for me to screw in, I didn't turn the wheel though, I completely forgot I could do that :bang:

Ta again. Wil have to stay on bricks over night though, Will sort it out tomorrow after work :)

Yes arb is the last thing to put back on, if both front wheels are off the ground there will be less tension on it.

Be careful when putting the pinch bolt in the hole under the hub, I used the fiat jack to align the hole with the indent in the pin - if you force the bolt in and ratchet it through you'll squash the threads and not get the correct torque on the nut. General info for anone doing this.

Tis the Pinch bolt the one that goes horizontally along underneath the ball Joint?

What is worst that could happen with incorrect torque? would it be a serious Dr Pepper Moment?

I really hope you meant to type 'axle stands' and it came out as bricks....
