I've been driving my girfriends cinq for the last couple of weeks (she's doing more mileage in her new job so she takes the Bravo) and was wondering about the wheels...
It could do with a bit more width on the tyres for grip on those A Roads, but can't be bothered with alloys as
1) they're expensive and the car isn't and
2) they'd make an uninteresting car worth nicking.
So I was thinking, could I get a set of steel wheels from a scrap yard off say a Tipo and put some I dunno 165/175 width tyres on them.. I appreciate I would probably have to get a different profile of tyre to the original Tipo ones to give a smaller radius. The offset should be the same (all fiats are 4x98 etc. I think), but would the wider wheels be a problem..?
TIA
