Well the Punto is gone..

..Sold the Punto a couple of weeks ago, as it was too slow and uncomfortable and now i commute 50 miles a day, so i replaced it with a Peugeot 306 hdi Meridian. 2 Litres of pure turbo diesel powarr!! It is nice to have the extra power/leather/air con though!

:yeahthat: the last place i worked had two both had their engines replaced and my father had one also on its second engine, these were xrdt not hdi's though

Oh right...well theres no denying that the Pug is much quicker and more comfortable than the Punto, so i dont really know what you're getting at?

dont worry, dave has severe brandbiasitis. he cant help it.

imo the 306 is a much better car than the mk2 punto, especially to drive. it isnt really a fair comparison because the 306 is in a higher sector, so it would be very worrying if it wasnt a lot better. to be fair you need to compare the 306 against the stilo, not the punto. 306 is significantly better than the stilo in every way other than the interior.

And to consider that the 306 was at end of it's life when the Stilo was launched.

It's a shame the 307 was nowhere as good to drive as the 306.
