Technical Water Pump Torque Settings 2.8JTD 8140.43S

Hi All,

Can anyone advise what torque settings they have used when refitting a new water pump to the engine block on a 2.8JTD (Year 2000). Need guidance on the following:

The 4 x bolts that hold the water pump housing to the block (have found someone mentioned 30kNm - but would like further confirmation from yourselves).

The 2 x nuts that fit on the back of the water pump (on the new studs).

All advice gladly received!

You will be very lucky if there is room to get a socket and torque wrench on those bolts! I just snugged them up evenly and it is all fine 18 months later. Not critical at all to torque them, One grunt should be enough! Is the engine in situ in a van?
