Technical Upgrading alternator 09 Sedici

Hi,has anyone ever upgraded the standard alternator on the 1.6 m16a engine?
I need more amps than the standard 75 and see the later vitara have the same engine as the Sedici but at 100 amps..
Would they go straight on or would the wiring plug be different?

I’d imagine it’ll be a straight fit. If you look on Ebay there’s plenty of M16A alternators listed for various cars and they all appear to have the same mountings. There’s a few on there listed for the 1.6 SX4 which is obviously identical which are 100amp so i’d go for it. Out of interest what’s the bigger alternator needed for?
