Hi,

I have a side-loading wheelchair accessible TW200, with a dividing screen. The previous driver removed this, and when it was put back in, some of the parts were lost. I need to get new fixings for it as it squeaks constantly and is quite annoying.

Unfortunately I am not sure where these are converted, so I don't know where to go for the parts. All I know is that the vehicle was bought from someone in Jersey or the Isle of Wight.

Here are some pictures:

There is no paperwork in the vehicle. I checked the B pillar but there is only something about 'xyz technologies second-stage manufacture', or words to that effect.

If anyone recognises this conversion and can point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful.

Thanks.

Mine is a TW200 SE 2.0 JTD 16 valve.

I purchased new from CMAK in Coventry, but they went bust around 2007 when the new shape TW200 was launched by Patons in Glasgow. Patons carry most specialist parts for the older TW200, they were a sister company I believe.

Anything in particular?

Yeah it looks like Paton's of Glasgow is Paton's Taxiworld at taxiworld.co.uk. I had a look and from the pictures looks like they've got the same conversion job on the TW200 I have (although the pictures aren't very revealing so hard to see if it's the same as mine).

Basically I am after the strip that goes along the top of the dividing screen which holds it in place. If the screen itself isn't too expensive I'd get another as my one is a bit tatty by now.

Thanks for that info, will get in touch and see if they can help.

On mine there is no strip holding the partition at the top. There is a 25mm black steel tube, bit like a roll bar, that the partition is bolted to. Possibly they have changed this for the later models?

I got in touch with Paton's Taxiworld, who told me that Penso (the company on the B pillar sticker) were the ones who converted them, but no longer do TW200's and cannot supply parts.

So it looks like I'm going to have to look for wrecked TW200's from breakers. Given there are a few different people who converted TW200's, this could be quite tricky.

By the sounds of it, the fixing point is a bit different on mine. I've got a 59 plate TW200, where there are about 4 metal tabs which come out between the join in the headlining and have holes drilled through them. Presumably the strip goes along with screws going through these tabs to be secured on the drivers side with nuts and another strip. You can see a few of these tabs in my third picture above.

try these guys at Patons I found helpful a few years back; John Carswell 01415531001 or Colin on 01415532050
