Hello all,

I'm new here but hopefully someone with far more experience will be able to help.

I have a 1.3 multijet Doblo and I want to remove the MAF sensor for cleaning. I removed the large hose with the 'special' clip. I've unplugged the wires to the sensor. I can get to the top fixing bolt on the MAF sensor (the one nearest the front of the vehicle) but the bottom fixing bolt seems impossible to get at to get a spanner on.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to remove the airbox to get access to it. This seems simple, or so I thought! There are two 4mm hex bolts holding the airbox on. They are inset and in some sort of plastic cones?? I have a hex key to fit but they seem to be impossibly tight. I really don't want to force them.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Thanks,
John.
