Styling Third Party Radio Help?

What a lovely forum, thank you.

I have a 2008 Scudo 120 Multijet with the standard cd player.

I obtained a adapter off ebay to allow me to fit in my Mutant Mp3 / CD Player.

However the unit would not power on and was advised from seller that the unattached wire needed to go to a ignition feed, any ideas where I need to look for this please?

Also, would the display still work (appreciate the cd / radio side would not display on the panel) but would the panel still display faults, doors open, outside temperature etc with third party radio installed?

Did you manage to get a 3rd party stereo to work?

What happened to the display in the end? does the trip computer still work?
