Not a clue if there's another thread on this.. But I reckon I'm gunna purchase a straight through Sportex Exhaust for my MK1 Punto...

Anyone able to tell me if it'll be illegal, cause me to fail an MOT etc?

Funny thing is, my tradesmen and lecturers wont tell me, because I'm a training mechanic they've told me to 'research' it...

Help me out lads!

Im dont know about england, but in ireland, if the exhaust is letting out to much Co2 its a N.C.T fail.

If its a catback and not too loud its fine. Something is saying a 115db threshold... Too loud and plod won't be happy, along with your neighbours...

Decat it and its an MOT fail. Also not legal for road use either.
