General Stiff Gearbox

since i had my punto when i test drove it, struggled to even change gear it was that stiff, my uncle had a look and greased it up, said to me the more i use it the easier it will get, kinda gettin used to the stiffness now.. but due to the weather i havent drove it in a while, i got in it today and its gone major stiff again, aswell as sometimes struggling gettin it into first, anyone know anything i can do?

These cars have nice smooth gear changes as a general rule, my best guess is that you could do with a couple of new gear selector cables which isn't too bad of a DIY job.

That said you could need the clutch bleeding or maybe even a new clutch soon

had a new clutch 3 months ago.. its been sat in a garage for 4 years due to previous owner dieing i believe, the more i use it the easier it gets but i get out, get in it again and its stiff again, starting to become quite annoying
