Technical stepper motor?

got another problem with my fiat punto w 2000. garage think my stepper motor is going and told me i would have to have a new 1 that would be nearly 300 quid!! are they taking the mick? n does any1 no if there another way than replacing it?

should all be the same. I had one die and swapped it with one off a punto 75 TB and the one off the punto 60 looks the same too.

It depends. What size engine do you have?

I know that part is a comon fail on the brava/o 1242 16v and is NOT the same as the one craig linked to. It's a pricey part.

Stepper motor isn't normally worth fixing, better off buying a second hand TB.

16v or 8v, easiest way if you tell us what model of punto it is (active, sport etc)
