Today I spent 7 hours detailing my cinquecento!!
It had been sat in the drive for 6-7 months being worked on so was filthy.
The whole car was covered in tar spots and grease finger print, the paint was faded too
Process:
Spray with fairy liquid to strip old polish/waxes
Rinse off, then wash with 2 bucket method
De-tarred with petrol in a hand sprayer
Then clayed, using meguires clay
Washed with clean water to remove residue etc
Wheels off then to clean
While they dried,I masked up the lights, rubbers and plastics
Then compounding the paint with Megs Ultimate Compound to bring the colour out
Once compounded, glass polished
Exhaust polished with Turtle Wax metal polish
The car was then waxed with a Gtechniqs Resin Superwax
Didnt even have chance to hoover it out but still tomorrow lol
Some Pics:
New owner looking chuffed!
Need to apply a 3rd coat of wax and hoover it out but he's off to glostershire tomorrow
