I was adjusting the clock on the Fiorino the other day and just presssed to go into some of the options. Surprised to see when I clicked on 'Service' and it said "0 miles" I'm guessing this means 'due'.
Shouldn't a service notification appear on the multifunction display in advance of a required service rather than me going to look for it? In my SOH's Mini she's getting warnings from about 1000 miles before it's due, to the point of annoyance!
In the manual it gives different distances between services, 20,000 for petrol and the diesel is longer between. I'm up to 38,000 (since June last year) and I know from the OBD readout that there's a problem with a pressure differential between the two sides of the DPF which needs fixing. It won't regen (or seems not to) which might (I'd have though) cure the problem, a pressure difference would suggest it's cacked up surely? The guy at the garage (private one as per a photo ref DPF removal) says he can force a regen. Why is the car not so intelligent that it could do its own regen when a problem arises? Too much technology eh..
I'm putting in the K&N filter today sometime but think I'll book the service for this weekend even though it's below the recommended mileage, even for the diesel second service.
