General Rear De-mister

Hi

My rear windoe de-mister isn't working even the when I press the button on my centre consol the little orange light comes on. its just the window does not de-mist any ideas.

My money would be on the cable in the boot grommet if your car is under 2 years old get it back to the dealer If its in its third year fiat dont cover wiring faults

if your skilled enough get the back boot lid trim off (one screw in the handle) then carefully pull it off (its held on with plastic "tits") take care round the boot lock as its thin there....

once off you can visually check the wires to the element on the screen

if you have a multimeter you can check you are getting an earth by doing a continuity test to the rest of the car say to the boot lock receiver (to rule out that wire) and also check if you have a live by doing a 12v test between your earth point and the live supply

Hi

Just checked with a multi meter and there is current to the wire connector and the neautral is reathed okay as it creates a full circit reading on the multi meter.

Anymore ideas guys?
