As you probably know, Punto Mk I had failed miserably in the EURO NCAP crash test trials, which prompted FIAT to redesign Punto MK II and make it significantly safer for the driver and co-driver.
Punto Mk I took a LOT of flak from pretty much everyone in the EU, esp North Europeans and Scandinavians.
So, what the Italians did was fight back (at least in Italy) by releasing a paid televised advertisement that mocked EURO NCAP crash tests as well as those who believed that Punto MK II was an unsafe car to buy.
We never saw this ad live on Greek TV. I suspect it was only ran in Italy.
