I need to check the plugs on my daughter's T-reg Punto as its losing power on hills, plus problems starting. Its as though it is misfiring but ok once started. I want to check the basics but but can't because of the following.

Problems I have are:
1. When I remove the air filter the throttle body(?) is in the way of the 2 centreplugs.
2. The plugs are rock solid no movement at all, I am using a t-bar sparkplug remover.

Any help would be appreciated, both in getting the sparkplugs out and the loss of power/starting problems.

They do get a bit stuck if not been touched in a long time. Engine cold when doing this? Hot spark plugs are harder to remove.

Also spark plugs don't sound like your problem but probably in need of a full service.

1st thing I'd do is check the timing on it

they can be a pig to remove , especially no.2,
I use a 3/8 socket set with long extension and a universal joint adaptor for 2.

take care getting the new ones in , they can cross thread easily if you dont get the exact angle. Get them started with your fingers before using the socket. good luck.
