I have a complete steering column, pas motor and pas ecu off a Mk2 available free to a good home. This was kindly donated to me by another forum member and it was working when he took it off the vehicle. I never needed to use it as things turned out so I can not vouch for whether it works or not but it must be worth a try if yours has gone on the blink?
I have offered it back to the good man who gave it to me in the first place, but he has given me permission to re-donate it.
I am near Stockport if somebody wants it.

This came off a Yellow Mk2 'a'.
the car was broken down for spares as the floor needed welding and the headgasket had failed,
70% of the parts-went on here to members.. some as far as 'ireland, so it didnt go to waste,

All the steering 'Assy' etc where all good., infact there was an invoice with the car stating it had all been replaced,Refurbished by some company.
so it shouid be all good,

it will only be anygood for mk 2a not '2b' W-reg/2000- 2003/53
