Anyone read this book?
I've just finished it, after stop starting it for a few months and its brilliant.

It's the sequel to Trainspotting ten years later. The whole gang is back they are all off the junk, but it's no less sick, depraved or hilarious than the first book.

Don't think it could make the transition to film aswell as Trainspotting did. So hopefully it doesn't get made. I'd hate to have a story this good ruined like that.

Irvine Welsh has got to be the one of the best writers in Britain right now. :slayer:

F****ng Weedgies! Take their blades off them, give them a little house training, they would make good pets.

when i move house I'll have more time for reading, and I have a few books to go at I havent had time to read yet so might have a crack at this one to

Well a word of warning in advance. Irvine likes to use local dialect in the books. Can make them tricky to read at times. Thats knowing the words he is writing aswell. lol

I managed to read Bez's autobiography a couple of years back on holiday.

Mind you im from near manchester so knew what most of it meant, i think there was a glossary in his book to!

BTW, its a different kettle of fish, but Bez's feaky dancin' is a funny- even my mrs enjoyed it!

Yeah Marabou stork nightmares is very good also incerdibly twisted.

Filth is good aswell. But right now I reckon Porno might be the best. but then it is the freshest in my mind which may help it.

Really need to get the bedroom secrets of master chefs. Should be good.

"Glue" is also excellent and introduces most of the main characters in Porno and Trainspotting. I have yet to read Master chiefs but its on the list.

Last I heard Irvine Walsh was lecturing English in American universities.

You ever tried to read a book by William Burroughs now thats more than just dialect that is hard to digest. Hes an absolute legend though.
