Just on ebay, and i can see these power modules for around £3 which claim to give you more horsepower by telling your ecu that colder air is coming in? is this actual worth trying/ does it work well? or is it just a waste of time which does nothing.

A waste of time that does nothing.

Along the same lines as the electric 'hairdryer' superchargers that you may have seen also.

If it really cost £3 to have those gains then why would everyone else be paying hundreds of pounds for remaps etc.

they make your car run rich which will cause damage to your engine.

you could buy it and sell on to some saxo owners if you wish though
