meta alarm problem

i have a seicento ms 51reg. only had the car 2 weeks and found out it has a meta alarm but the battery was flat on the fob, i have been told there should be a 4 digit code for re programing it, the last owner and i dont have it. does any one know if there is a way of getting around this so i can get it working again.

you'll need the model no off the alarm to get any information on reprogramming.,

It says on the alarm box in the engine bay M871a

If the code card is lost we are now able to re-code the M8700, M996, M928, M99T2 and some M99T alarms systems only. All the HPA range of alarms can be re-coded. Please contact the office for more details.
