Hi Folks
Looking for some advice on mileage display.
Have a 2000 W Reg 1.6 16v Marea Weekend. Had it for over 9 years and served me well.
Today went out for run (car had been sitting idle for couple of weeks) and noticed the mileage display and trip counter were blank although back light was illuminated so not a bulb fault. After driving for a while the display came back on but was frozen i. e not registering any further mileage. Parked up and when removed key from ignition the same figures stayed on, normally disappear when key removed. Disconnected battery to see if would reset but again is now just showing blank (backlight still OK)
Can't believe the timing - got MOT booked for Tuesday- any ideas would be gratefully received.
