Low oil pressure after sump install

Hi.
Just completed a new sump install after the old one became porous.
New oil filter etc.
On start up at low revs. The low oil pressure warning comes on.
But goes once revs reach 2 k.
Amy ideas peeps ?

Depending on what engine you have..

What else you removed..

I would put the old filter back on for comparison.. plenty of dodgy filters 'in circulation'

Do let us know what you find

Sorry ??.
It’s a 1.2 petrol. Changed sump and did oil and filter at same time.

The sump can be difficult to remove, and there have been many reports on here of damage to the oil pickup in the sump. If it has become bent a little, it may be sucking some air. Needs to be sorted immediately.

I unbolted my pick.up

Did all the donkeywork.. then remounted it

Its a fair bit of work though.. wouldnt want to revisit that pointlessly

for the sake of a dodgy spin.on filter

Thanks everyone.
As suspected. Oil pick up was the culprit.
Done now.
?
