Lost key on a Seicento MPi

Folks,

A little bit of advice sought.

Lost the ignition key for my MPi! Have another SPi car as a donor parts car, have removed the ignition barrel and receiver ring and small ECU box from the donor SPi car.

Question is - can I just retrofit this to my MPi?? Does the main car ECU matter, (I appreciate that they are different, however is not the coded security part done in the small box, not in the main car's ECU??

Fingers are crossed for a positive, (in my favour response) - but I am fearing the worst....
