General Lagging

Changed the oil/filter this weekend on the 100hp (Valvoline 5W30 just to get the arguments going).


Anyhoo, as I was wiping off the dipstick on the under-bonnet sound-deadening (yeah yeah..........) it made me think. I'm sure the 1.2 models that I've test driven don't have this. I always sensed they seemed less refined/louder than the 100hp.


1. Am I right?


2. Presumably the diesel does - and probably has a Tog250 duvet under there. No?


3. Has any 1.2 buyer lagged their under-bonnet for more refinement?

The 1.2 is such a quiet unit it doesn't need the stuffing.

Denied. FIAT have fitted twin 'spittoons' between the front seats. Thus, nasal congestion is evacuated footballer style.
