Well if you are not bothered about the immobiliser, then get 2 copies of the key made (no transponder).
Remove the antenna ring from the ignition lock. glue/tape the old key to the antenna and leave it loose in the steering cover area.
Any cut key will now work.

ianny's already lost the chip inside the red key, though (mine also splits in two).

As already suggested, get a replacement chip for the ECU so it won't check the keys, and then get some generic keys copied from the red one (as long as the blade matches, they won't need to be coded any more).

Got muddled between the OP and inny's tag on.
If you're in Rumania, buy a program file off net about £10, buy a willem programmer about £15 and a 27c256 chip and do it yourself.
