thats a load of CR*P, that'll never work,
the best thing i can think of to do is to make all the car stereo's with pin codes in future(like some sony models) that way the msg is gonna get around that they no good any more, the reason it isnt working at the moment is because most stereos dont have these codes and the thief would rather take the chance knowing that only a few have codes on them,
like all things, there is gonna be someone who finds a way around it but the aim is to keep these in the minority.,.,.,
another idea is to start anchoring the stereo to the chassis in much the same way stores do with Laptops etc.,.,(Dixons, PC world) and advertise this on the window with a sticker.,., there'll always be someone to try but it will deter most thieves coz the longer it takes them, the more time you have to catch them.,.,.,
