Help with fitting alarm in 97 punto

Hi there,
Quick questions which will be simple to most of you out there.

1) Fitting an alarm and there are two feeds supplied for the door switch (one marked positive and one marked negative). Are the door switches positive or negative switched. Once I know I'll know which one to connect.

2) The cables to be connected to the indicators, can they be connected at the steering column or do they need to be after the relays at the lights themselves.

Common negative door switches and indicators can be connected anywhere on the circuit
