hello all, bought as my first car a LHD 1970 500L have always loved the the shape and style of the classic 500 since family hols in italy thought it'd be a fun first car! the .5 litre engine makes it great for insurance +fuel and while it doesn't much like hills it does feel quite nippy about town! really enjoy the double declutching (very satisfying oddly) and have replaced the points with pertronix ignition (fed up of having to change them!) but that's about all. it claims to have about 83,000 km on the clock before i picked her up, added another 3,000 mixture of 100 mile trips to the coast and short poddling about town.
