Good evening all,

Had an ongoing problem with my 16 Reg Punto for a few months - when I put my lights on, I get the “check running lights warning”. All my bulbs are working as expected! I first got it when a headlamp bulb went and came back not long after I changed it (a few weeks maybe). Assumed it was the headlamp on the other side but wasn’t driving in the dark for a while so didn’t worry about it. Could a dodgy (but still working) bulb cause the warning?

The only other thing I can think of is that the driver side headlamp unit won’t adjust downwards and is just above the “0” level of dip, making it look like I’m “full beaming” people coming towards me! Could that maybe cause the warning too?

Also while I am here, anyone know if a driver side headlamp unit is a difficult one to change?

Thanks in advance and appreciate any advice.

Hi :)

Look in Grande section for info on chsnging lamps.. it MIGHT Involve removing front bumper..

I would get a new bulb.. and swap that with the one you changed.. possibly faulty.. possibly incorrect wattage?

I must say.. my 2012 has not had any such issue
Blew one DRL bulb at 42k.. on 70k now.. needed nothing else
