Styling Head-unit with screen in mpi sei sporting

I'm thinking about getting another HU with a screen that comes out remotly.
Screen would be 7" and i am sure its a normal DIN size
so couple of questions.

1. will i need to modify the heater coltrol area?
2. anyone has any pictures of theres?

Do you mean having it in the current HU slot, or making a completely new slot where all the heater controls are?

If in the current slot then i dont see how it can cause too much of a problem, however the screen may not fully display upright due to hitting buttons so may be on a slant if you get me?

If you are definately getting one then you could always purchase and see what happenes, or if you know of someone that has one, get them to take theirs and out, put it in yours and see what happens

the problem with fitting that type of head unit into the slot is that because the din is recessed the screen will not open. i tried my mates one in the center console i made and that allows it to open up fully and properly without any obstruction. check my classifieds.

Sorry should have made it clear. I want to use the original DIN in the sei.
Will try and see if I can borrow one.
Sei_rory I have seen your classified section for centre consols and I will make contact if I go down the route of keep the sei as it might be going soon

i would of thought using the original DIN that the screen will clash with the gearstick when coming out. also it stops use of all heater controls
