Thort it was time "georgie" was totally in disguise with no identifiying marks, So the average joe is even more baffled to know what car it is when i fly past him at 135.... :slayer: :slayer:

Before just in case you all forgot what a mk1 grille looks like,,,

ENGINE 2 003.jpg

And after the carnage of destroying a mk1 grille to make this.....

What do you think??????

nice job, but i can't help think it looks too plain now... too linear in one plane.

nice job
i was thinking of doing the same to my MK1 grille
but now i`m not so sure, not so Convincing to me

Sorry, I can see you've picked up on your front spoiler look but it hasn't worked, looks bland now, like an FSO or something, or the naff bodykits boy racers put on their escorts in the 80's! Promote the fact that it's a 19 year old fast Fiat, don't hide it! Oh, and a different number plate would look better IMO. NIce Tipo though, nearly perfected....

WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST THEN??

Personally, I much prefer the original grille, presumably you still have it. Or a sedici grille of course, the best of all. The Tipo is a round, chunky car and the horizontal lines across the front really don't suit it, the same with the spindly font of the number plate. Plus I like to see a Fiat badge on a car, particularly a nice one.

How can you class the Tipo as being round

Its very angular to the point its nearly boxed shape,
I would personally class something like a new vw beetle or a Daewoo to be round.... No i aint got the old grille , Its now butchered to make what you see now, May upgrade to a face -lift front end in the near future, I was gonna change the number plate any how for a more bolder font...

The Tipo is boxy but not really angular like e.g. the Lancia Delta, Escorts etc. I'd like to see the car stay as a MK1, like I said with the Sedi grill, they are aggressive and distinctive. Presumably you've got MK2 front grille and lights from your scrappers, will they fit straight on? I always assumed the front wings etc. were different.
