Hi All,
My Bravo 2008 TJET15O gearstick springs back to centre when cold but not when it has heated up after maybe 10 minutes.
Other than that it is shifting into gears okay.
Do i need a new linkage cable or what is the best option to sort this?
Thanks.

Hi varesecrazy,
Thanks for your reply.
Where is the best place on the car to lubricate these?

For ease..,

Look down the back of the battery,

The Cables at the Top Rear of Gearbox should be fairly obvious 😉

Look when Out of Gear/ in Neutral

Select a gear, one will become Longer or Shorter

SprayWD40 or similar on the exposed part of a Cable.. The action of Selecting more gears will spread the Lubricant through the cable

See IF that makes things better.., even for a day

If you see a change at least you know what is likely the problem 🙂

Do let us know what you find 👍

Thanks for the info, I will try this.
My problem though it is when the car is hot that it does not return to centre.
It is perfect when cold.
Some peolple mentioned a pin or washer which is expanding in the heat and stops the self centreing?
They smooth it down and all works okay?

Is this a possible reason also?
If so how do we sort this?
If we get new linkage cables does it come with a new pin/washer?

Thanks.
