Technical fuel tank change

hey all.
the fuel tank on my mk1 turbo is looking a bit tired. seems to have been repaired once before and was wondering if the mk1 tanks are the same as the mk2.
seem to be able to find mk2 tanks but mk1s are rarer i find.

think the differences were internal - better baffles on the MK2 turbo tank.

same number of holes for vent pipes / filler / 12mm exit.

Make sure you use fuel line between tank / rear filter and pump NOT coolant hose
