Technical fuel prob i think

when driving my chinq it starts to do its own thing, let me elaborate, driving normally, 1st,2nd then it is like i have just let my foot off the accelerator and the car is slowing under its own gear resistance, jolts sets off shortly then does it again.

Visual leaks on floor? poor mpg? smell of petrol in cabin?

Last time it had a service? fuel filter replaced?

Could be the feul pump also

no visual leaks, no smell in cab, average mpg.
last serviced 1998 (1st service), dont know about when the filters were changed.
there is however a dash light that looks like an injector on!

Your ECU is picking up a rogue signal, hence the injector light.

If you haven't had the car serviced since 1998, get it done, now if not sooner. It could be any manner of issues, but a good service will rule a lot of them out.

Actually, anyone who hasn't had a car serviced since 1998 does not deserve to own a car.

I appreciate that the OP may only have just got the car, but its a mechanical device that needs TLC.

well with work restraints i havent had much time to give her a service, but when i get off this afternoon, guess what! i'm gonna give her some warm and tender TLC
