Morning Children;
Just thought you members in the UK might just like to know that there is a 5 page article , with pretty pictures, regarding the restoration of a 1972 500L in the MARCH edition of the magazine:- RETRO CARS. there is also a very interesting technical article regarding 'Jenvey Throttle Bodies'--anyone thought of fitting fuel-injection onto a 500/126 engine? They do it in Italy!

EFI.. yep.... looked at that...
Found a company in the USA that produce complete kits for small motorcycles to get round emissions... it would be idea for 500/126's even had long discussions about how to mount the injector, dumping the dizzy everything.....
Problem was with duties it worked out about £600+ (that wasover 3 years ago) and that was after a discount if I brought a few in... couldn't really see people wanting to pay more (after all there would be over £6k sitting on a shelf), and there would stll need to be some fabrication/casting to get it to look neat on a 500, plus if it was sold as a kit it wouldn't be worth all the aggro of calls emails regarding setting up and problems...

I saw the car in the article at the Italian Kent car show last year - very nice - but then it should be for what was spent - big car money on a little car!
