Technical Fault code, Marea 1,6 100

Hi all,
I did ECU diagnostics on my Marea. I found that was recorded following current error: Fuel trim malfunction (Bank1). The error is deleted normally, but is recorded as having put the ignition key in the "contact" (engine not running). Do you have any idea why this error? And what is the meaning of this error?

I think it means the O2 sensor is reading either too rich or too lean fuel mixture. Could be caused by loads of different things, I'm no expert on the 1.6 so hopefully someone else will be able to help.

I understand that this error means a problem with the adaptation of ECU. I will not yet pay attention to this error because it does not affect the behavior of the car. The car works well when both gas and petrol.
