Faded paint

I have a W reg punto mk2 in red and the paint has faded and looks pretty pants
I need some way of restoring the paint but so far have not been able to

I have tried the autoglym paint restorer but that doesnt look to have made any difference

I dont know if it would be easier to just get the car resprayed or to have it looked at professionally

Any recomendations

have you use it by hand?
if so try using Car Buffer with t-cut or G3, that should able to bring the colour back, G3 need to use with water, and it do go everywhere, but it can bring the colour back very well, you will able to buy it from paint supplier or ebay.

when you buffed up the paint using a colour restorer, did it leave the paint colour on the buffing rag?

Yeah, when using the paint restorer it left red on the cloth

I used it by hand, left it to dry a little then whiped it off
Ive tried Tcut and that did absolute nothing

I may have to try the G3 and see if that works any better

I may have to let a professional have a go with it

Use g3. will bring up very well,best to use with a machine polisher tho.horrible to use by hand.. will take you ages..can get a fairly cheap 1 from ebay..

remeber that after you use something like G3 your going to have to step up to finish, e.g. after using it so its right back to original colour then use t-cut then use a polish like AG SRP, then wax.

I dont want to mess it up and make it look crap
