Hi, new to the forum. I have a mk1 punto 60 , just wanting to know how hard it is to put the 1.2 16 valve engine in. Cheers

Shouldn't be very hard at all. Lots of these (and 1.4 16v) swaps in the Cinq/Sei section. The Mk1 engine has a better cam and downpipe (rather than manicat). Try and get the ECU and codebox and key(s) while you're at it.

hi, ao i bought the 1.2 16 valve engine and looks like it will bolt straight in. But could anyone help me with the wiring, could I use the 8 valve wiring harness with the 16 valve ecu and will the ecu need to be uncoded? Cheers

You need the codebox for the Mk1 engine and ECU, plus keys. Mk 1 at least can be decoded, dunno about Mk 2.

Wiring diagrams in the Haynes, or I can sell you the Mk2 factory manual on CD.
