Technical EGR fault - need to find an independant

Hi, need a bit of advice please.
2008 JTD 115, soon to be leaving me, but it has a fault I need to get fixed before it goes.
Engine warning light comes on, and power becomes limited. FiatECUscan says EGR fault. I can reset the fault and it runs fine with full power. After maybe an hour it comes back on.
I would like to clean and/or replace the valve, but am severely limited by lack of tools and strength.
Local FIAT dealer is to be avoided, they seem clueless.
Does anybody know of an independant specialist in Cheshire to whom I could entrust this job?

Most mobile mechanics will be able to clean the EGR, it's not particularly technically challenging, just a pain in a$$.

Personally I would replace it (if your 100% sure that's the fault) and it's only a 0.8 hour job, easy enough. Are you sure theres no good dealers there in Warrington considering there is a large training centre there, who have you actually tried?

google said there are 10 fiat dealers within 25 miles of Cheshire, they cant all be bad

To trust are Mangoletsi ( Knutsford ) & ES Jones ( Chester ) or an independent in St Helens called Alfa Tune ( Regarded as Best Italian car Garage in the UK )
