dpf delete Multipla ECU

Hi, I'm new here soforgive me if I'm not doing this corectly.
I have a Multipla multijet diesel 120. I had it remapped to 145bhp and found a big inprovement in performance and economy. The DPF filter died and so rather than pay £1400 plus fitting I had it removed and had a map put on which should have deleted the DPF settings. Up to now this hasn't worked. My mechanic thinks that some ECU's just cant be de DPF'd does any one know if this is correct and also if there is an ECU a I could change too in order to get the settings deselected.

I don't know if some ECUs can't be de DPF'd. I would have thought that it was possible but only by a really serious specialist as EGR, DPF etc. are stored/coded in a normally non map area of the ECU software.

Just 24k '06 and DPF is stuffed. Garage have removed and reset/deselect the ECU - I hope. Did you ever get a concise answer to your ECU reset request? - If so were you given the settings?
This would seems to be a very common scenario. Thanks in advance.
